With the Birmingham Bears first home game of the NatWest T20 Blast – against Worcestershire Rapids – just three weeks away, Warwickshire County Cricket Club has today announced record advance sales in the 12-year history of the tournament.

Sales at the end of the Early Bird pricing window for NatWest T20 Blast home games have increased by 13 per cent year-on-year on the back of Birmingham Bears winning the competition last season and the recent announcement that New Zealand Captain Brendon McCullum will join the team.

Alex Perkins, T20 Project Manager at Warwickshire CCC, said: “Brendon McCullum is one of the biggest names in world cricket and the opportunity to see him play at Edgbaston has attracted a huge amount of interest in our defence of the trophy.

With five matches being played on Friday nights, we’re working hard to make each NatWest T20 Blast match a fantastic experience for all, and this season we have added several new initiatives, including cash back for clubs and charities, free tickets for Under 16s, a premium ticket option and even more match day entertainment.

Edgbaston is renowned for having the best atmosphere in cricket and hopefully having even more people in the stadium this year will help roar the Birmingham Bears on to more success.”

New for matches in 2015, spectators will be able to purchase a premium ticket package in Edgbaston’s Skyline Terrace, with an item from the BBQ and drink from the private bar available for just £30 per person.

Additionally, Warwickshire CCC has just launched a new cash back scheme for local cricket clubs and charities, which will see a donation made to each worthy cause for every adult ticket that it sells.
