After establishing himself playing one of the lead characters on the hit TV show, ‘Empire,’ Trai Byers has just sign a new deal with leading modeling agents, Wilhelmina Models. The actor, who plays Andre Lyon on the hip-hop show, has already earned rave reviews after appearing on the cover of US department store Saks Fifth Avenue's autumn magalog (magazine-catalog) and joins a list of A-listers which includes Nick Jonas, Echosmith's Sydney Sierota, Boyhood's Ellar Coltrane and Breaking Bad's RJ Mitte.
32-year-old Byers who has also had roles in the hit movie, ‘Selma’ and also on ‘91210’ said: "I think it's absolutely due to the influence of ‘Empire’ — I think playing Andre Lyon has made me dress a certain way and I like the way that he looks."
He did, however say, surprisingly: "I used to be a T-shirt and jeans kind of guy. I've got some sweaters now, some really thinly knit but colorful… I'm a bold guy — I like black, grey, white and blue. [Now] I'm wearing green and burgundy more. It's really looking good on me, it's great," said the actor, who stars as the always well-dressed Andre Lyon on Empire."
Season 2 of Empire is set to be shown on UK TV later this year.
