From Crowded House, the ARIA Awards, MTV Beats & Eats, to the Electronic Music Conference, and Angus and Julia Stone headlining Vanfest in Forbes, November is set to hit a high note in the NSW events calendar. Destination NSW CEO Sandra Chipchase said: “NSW has something for music fans of all ages and genres and I encourage travellers to start planning their trip so they can be part of this jam-packed month of entertainment.”

Destination NSW, the state Government's tourism and major events agency, has compiled a list of upcoming highlights so gig-lovers can get these dates in the diary and start planning their trip.

The 30th ARIA Awards presented by Telstra – 23 November

Exclusive to Sydney, the 30th ARIA Awards Presented by Telstra celebrates the music industry's incredible history, and amazing artists. This year one of Australia's most-loved bands, Crowded House, will be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, and Flume who is nominated for eight awards will perform at the event. ARIA Award travel packages offer fans the opportunity to enjoy the action of the red carpet see the artists up-close.

MTV Beats & Eats – 26 November

To round out ARIA Week, MTV Australia will bring tastes and tunes to the beachside location of Stuart Park, North Wollongong for MTV Beats & Eats on Saturday 26 November. The festival will feature main-stage performances from local and international artists, including headline act and world-renowned international DJ, Steve Aoki , New Zealand rapper Savage and Australian producer Paces, as well as delicious food stalls and bars, plus a whole bunch of crazy activities courtesy of MTV. Just over an hour drive south of Sydney, this festival is a perfect reason to get your friends together, sort your playlist, and get the car ready for an unforgettable South Coast road trip.

Vanfest – 25 and 26 November

Vanfest in Forbes will feature Triple J Hottest 100 winners The Rubens, indie-darlings Angus and Julia Stone, and hip-hop favourites Urthboy and Drapht. Now in its third year Vanfest offers travellers camping and glamping options onsite at the festival which and will also feature a giant water park, carnival rides, NSW wine tastings, market stalls, and much more.

Electronic Music Conference – 28 November – 2 December

The Electronic Music Conference Sydney is a melting pot of creativity focussed on the electronic music industry in the Asia Pacific region. Held at The Ivy complex, the week-long conference is an opportunity for music industry professionals and musicians to connect, create and cultivate ideas. On Wednesday 30 November, EMCPlay will take over some of Sydney's leading live music venues for showcase performances by established and up and coming electronic musicians.
