James Buttrick, e-commerce manager at All Car Leasing said: “It’s surprising to see that on average Brits are only willing to travel for up to an hour and 14 minutes for an ideal job role. There are often many factors that make the commute to work stressful and unpleasant. Commuting doesn’t have to be stressful and should allow workers to prepare for the day ahead or wind-down after a full on day.”

“Previous studies have proved that there is a positive relationship between a shorter commute and wellbeing for UK workers.”

Men are willing to travel up to 1 hour and 29 minutes to work in contrast to women who would prefer to travel for 59 minutes.

A survey of 1,002 UK adults, was carried out by AllCarLeasing.co.uk.
