The city of Palm Springs, which has long been known for its celebrity appeal, is getting ready to welcome some of the biggest names in music for The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The city will be awash with famous faces including featured artists Beyoncé, Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar. Celebrities and holidaymakers alike will be welcomed to Palm Springs during the festival, which will take place over two weekends in April (14th – 16th & 21st – 23rd).

Coachella is best known for its guaranteed celebrity sightings, desert blue skies, incredible art exhibitions, retro funfair and for its varied music line-up. The festival boasts six stages, which this year play host to some of the world's best loved musicians, from Beyoncé, the queen of pop herself, to indie artists like Bon Iver and top DJs such as Martin Garrix.

Coachella attracts more than 80,000 visitors each year, many of whom choose to stay at one of Palm Springs' chic hotels, just a short 30-minute shuttle ride from the festival ground. For those not opting to attend Coachella itself, Palm Springs is abuzz with pool parties, club nights and events throughout the festival to keep the party vibe going.

Coachella marks the start of festival season in Palm Springs and a number of the city's top hotels, including Hilton Palm Springs, Renaissance Palm Springs and Riviera Palm Springs, offer excellent travel packages and shuttle services to ensure a seamless festival experience.

With 350 days of sunshine and less than five inches of rain a year, visitors to Palm Springs are guaranteed a truly Californian experience. The city offers an endless choice of things to see and do, from hiking in the Indian Canyons and riding the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, to shopping in independent boutiques and browsing the downtown art district. This, combined with the city's enduring celebrity appeal, beautiful landscapes and host of fabulous restaurants, bars and cafes offers everyone, young or old, the ultimate holiday experience.
