Rubery Owen Holdings Ltd based in Darlaston, Wednesbury, are the latest company to join The Platinum Group, part of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce. Rubery Owen Holdings Ltd is a family business established over 131 years ago and has a rich heritage, having employed thousands of people across the globe. It has been involved in many interesting projects such as the famous BRM racing team and the development of Donald Campbell’s Bluebird.

It now operates six group companies in a diverse range of markets. From retailing Land Rover vehicles at Shukers in Shrewsbury and Ludlow through to the manufacture of cleaning chemicals at Techtron Manufacturing in N. Wales.

Now in the 21st Century, the Rubery Owen Group has re-invented itself in line with market demands and rather than producing components, it is now committed to servicing the industry through its subsidiary companies and Rubery Owen continues to innovate today.

Having recently joined The Platinum Group, which is part of Black Country Chamber of Commerce, Richard Jenkins the Executive Chairman said: “We have been operating in the Black Country since 1884 and look forward to collaborating with the Black Country Chamber and members of The Platinum Group in the years ahead.”
