Birmingham’s largest carnival, second only to Notting Hill, is returning on June 26th this summer, after being cancelled for two years in a row due to Covid-19 restrictions. And Midlands-based engineering firm adi Group is delighted to be the headline sponsor for Harborne Jubilee Carnival 2022 in support of Heart Research UK Midlands, the carnival’s charity partner.

Harborne Carnival has always been an incredibly successful event within the local community, with tens of thousands of visitors attending every year, and locals this year are eager to be able to enjoy such an entertaining event while also supporting Heart Research UK’s lifesaving work. Having supported Heart Research UK since 2015, raising nearly £120,000 for lifesaving research to date, adi Group is proud to be able to continue to support the charity’s work in the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease.

Alan Lusty, CEO at adi Group, said: “We have built a remarkable relationship with Heart Research UK Midlands over the last seven years and are incredibly pleased to be headline sponsors of this year’s Harborne Jubilee Carnival. Recent times have been challenging for everybody and we’re looking forward to being involved in an event that focuses on bringing the local community together.”

Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, Harborne Jubilee Carnival is making a strong comeback, with high expectations from attendees, who will be able to enjoy live music, arts and crafts, street food stalls, fairground rides and much more. Employees at adi Group will be volunteering at the carnival as well as fundraising in the run-up to the event and on the day in order to show their support.

“We are committed to supporting Heart Research’s cause, and always endeavour to focus our efforts on helping out where it matters,” adds Alan.

“To us, working to a high standard starts with promoting forward-thinking and increasing awareness of causes that our staff and local community truly care about. The foundation adi Group is built upon involves conducting business through partnering with organisations that make an impact on the world.”

As all money raised from the Harborne Carnival will go towards projects funded by Heart Research UK, the focus of the Carnival will be on health and well-being, and, in line with its mantra, adi Group looks forward to promoting an event whose aim is to engineer a better future.
