Residents and staff at Iverley View Care Home are donning their flat caps for a special celebration of Black Country culture with a themed event titled “Peak-Iverley Blinders”, taking place today at 2pm.

The event will transport residents, families, and visitors back in time with a nostalgic nod to the Peaky Blinders TV series, set against the rich backdrop of the Black Country’s industrial heritage. Complete with themed décor, traditional Black Country food, live music, peaky punch, and plenty of character, the afternoon promises laughter, memories, and meaningful community connection.

“We’re proud of our roots here in the Black Country,” said Amanda Morgan-Bennett, General Manager at Iverley View.

“This event brings that pride to life. It’s a chance for our residents to relive and celebrate the culture they grew up with”.

The care home is inviting community members, and family and friends to join the celebration. Fancy dress is encouraged, think waistcoats, pocket watches, and of course, the signature flat cap!
