Burton on Trent manufacturer Russell Roof Tiles has surpassed its fundraising target – raising more than £60,000 as part of its 60th, diamond jubilee year in 2025.

The firm has boosted its support for good causes, raising a total of £60,448.16 for its community fund Give4Good, which supports local and international organisations, chosen by its staff. Give4Good was launched in 2022 as a way of supporting local initiatives with fun and challenging events championed by its staff, suppliers, customers and partners.

Donations of £8,731.40 each have already been handed out to local charities Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire Blood BikesBurton YMCABurton Albion Community Trust and Scropton Riding for the Disabled. Fundraising events have included the firm’s Annual Big Quiz, hosted at Pirelli Stadium in November last year, which added an impressive and record £20,950 to the total.

Managing Director Andrew Hayward said: “It’s an important part of our company values that we support our local communities, recognising those who make a real difference to people's lives.

“It’s fitting that in our diamond jubilee year, we boosted this support even further.” Russell Roof Tiles has achieved 15 years of significant independence and growth, which has included extensive development across all three of its sites, two in Burton and one in Scotland.

A focus on people and place has underpinned the company’s growth strategy. Its team are actively participating with Give4Good, donating through Give as you Earn, as well as taking part in events and challenges.

2025 marked an important year for the company, with £100,000 investment made into its Burton training facilities earlier this year and the same amount spent on new machinery to speed up output to meet continued market demand. Across its whole portfolio, the firm has invested in modernising and futureproofing its facilities - boosting capacity, production speeds, and manufacturing efficiency.

The company, a major producer of concrete roof tiles and accessories, has also launched a revolutionary new product Bute3, which combines the aesthetic appeal of traditional plain tiles with the efficiency of a modern interlocking design, a result of five years and £2 million in product development. Bute3 is now in full production at the manufacturer's new £18.5 million fully automated line at its Nicholson Way site in Burton on Trent.

Andrew added: “I am incredibly proud to lead a dedicated team that consistently innovates and outperforms expectations.

“As we mark our 60th anniversary, we remain focused on transforming our operations, improving manufacturing efficiency and delivering better, more sustainable products. We are looking forward to another decade, and beyond to continued growth and success.”
