WV Active is offering free activities for all the family at Super Sunday on July 10. From fitness classes to fun swimming pool sessions, children’s activities and a huge variety of sport, there will be something for the whole family to enjoy. All three City of Wolverhampton Council-owned WV Active centres at Aldersley, Bilston-Bert Williams and Central - are open from 10am to 4pm. Councillor Steve Evans, Cabinet Member for City Environment, said: “Super Sunday is one of the final events on next month’s exciting Enjoy Wolverhampton programme.

“And what better way to round things off than with activities that all the family can enjoy for free. We are committed to promoting healthy lifestyles, especially at a time when the city is joining together to tackle obesity, and WV Active has an important role to play in improving the health and wellbeing of our residents."

At WV Active Aldersley, on Hugh Porter Way, Aldersley, all facilities will be available to use and activities include athletics, badminton, basketball, cycling, hockey, Les Mills classes, martial arts, netball, Premier Sports sessions (archery, fencing, ultimate frisbee, tag rugby), tennis, Toddler Sense activities and WV Active Kids Club (sports, games, arts & craft).

There will also be a bouncy castle and a fun fair (charges will apply for these two activities). At WV Active Bilston-Bert Williams, on Nettlefolds Way, Bilston, there will be a full day of fitness classes and sports sessions for the whole family to enjoy, including an aqua aerobics class, family fun pool session, Les Mills classes, a Pilates class, Rugby Tots session, squash session, and Tae Kwon Do session.

The swimming pool at WV Active Central, Bath Avenue, Wolverhampton City Centre, will be open all day for a fun toys and floats session.
