With the last bank holiday of the summer just around the corner, families need look no further than their own back garden with the inaugural Big Little Tent Festival on Sunday 30 August. With free festival packs available to order, The Big Little Tent Festival is encouraging families to hold their own mini-festival in their back gardens; camp out together, cook together over a campfire (or barbecue) and spend time enjoying each other’s company.

Those wanting to ‘pitch-up’ and get involved should sign up to the festival experience at http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/BLTF and register for a free festival pack. The packs include wristbands and bunting to help transform the garden, recipe suggestions to be cooked over a campfire (or barbecue) including campfire nachos and a cowboy casserole and The Big Little Tent Festival Spotify music playlist.

There are plenty of chances to win prizes too – every family who signs up will be entered into a prize draw to win a European camping holiday.  There are BBQ prizes across the social media platforms live from now until 31 August (just use #BigLittleTentFest15) and the best picture on festival day also wins a European camping holiday.

The Big Little Tent Festival has been launched by The Caravan Club – champions of the great outdoors – who has teamed up with explorer, TV presenter and author Simon Reeve. The festival aims to inspire families to get outside this Bank Holiday and spend more time together.

You can follow the fun on Facebook Big Little Tent Festival, Twitter @BigLittleTent and Instagram @BigLittleTentFestival, and join in the festival feeling with the hashtag #BigLittleTentFest15.
