Lawson have been announced as support to the UK’s most successful live performers, Take That, for their forthcoming shows at Birmingham’s Genting Arena today and tomorrow. This prestigious slot coincides with Lawson’s performance on the KOMEDIA stage at The Great Escape in Brighton, meaning a whistle stop trip south on Saturday morning before returning to Birmingham for the second show that same night.

This announcement comes prior to the release of Lawson’s new single ‘Roads’ on May 31st on Polydor Records, the first track to be taken from their eagerly anticipated forthcoming sophomore album. ‘Roads’ was recorded at the world renowned Blackbird Studios in Nashville, and sees Lawson maturing as artists and coming of age as a band, with a towering singalong chorus, melodic backing vocals and stomping drums incessantly driving the track forward.

Lawson’s Andy Brown says: -

Weve always been fans of Take That. They put on an incredible show and it's a privilege to be a part of it. They are genuinely some of the nicest guys in the music industry and to add to that fantastic songwriters and musicians too.
