Geezer, a Shetland Sheepdog, and Nicola Garrett from Staffordshire won The Kennel Club Medium ABC (Anything But Collies) agility competition after battling it out against eight other finalists at Crufts, the world’s greatest dog show. The final saw eight medium dogs, other than Border Collies and Working Sheepdogs, competing to win, having all qualified from the semi-finals at The Kennel Club’s Discover Dogs in November 2021.

The Gruffalo Discovery Land – a brand-new,multi-million pound land and a UK first – will open at Twycross Zoo on Saturday 9 April 2022. Tickets are now available to buy online, with entry to the land included in the Zoo’s daily admission price.

The new four-acre land has been developed in partnership with brand managers Magic Light Pictures and is inspired by the best-selling picture book

Birmingham Rep have officially unveiled a £2.87m new look to their historic home on Birmingham’s Centenary Square, 50 years on from the theatre first opening its doors.

Brand-new elements of the design include a fully accessible front entrance and terrace which connects directly to the popular city-centre square, the first time The Rep has been able to welcome visitors and audiences through the heart of the building.

Soul II Soul have announced their Feel Free tour for November 2022 starting at De Montfort Hall in Leicester and ending with a festive London headline show in December.

The tour will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the singer’s self-titled debut album and chart-topping global smash hit single, ‘Foolish’. With support from R&B favourites Trey Songz and Mario, the much-awaited UK tour will head to Birmingham this June.

As her current single ‘Release You’ stirs elements of pop, opera, trip-hop and pop into one singular sonic style, rising talent Claudilleawanted its video to be just as atypical as the song. As its director and co-producer, that’s exactly what she delivered with the visual which she now unveils.

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre has confirmed that the performances of Carmen and Madama Butterfly, due to perform on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th March have been cancelled. This follows the cancellation of the Russian State Ballet which was due to open this evening.

A new all-star concept album billed as ‘a sonic love letter to Birmingham’ will be released to music fans across the world for free in June, for the Birmingham 2022 Festival.

On Record, commissioned and produced by Birmingham Music Archive, will feature eleven original songs exclusively written and recorded by new and established city music talent including Bambi Bains, Cherry Pickles, Dapz on the Map, SANITY, Tj Rehmi, and UB40.
