The Caravan and Motorhome Club is planting 2022 trees this year in support of The Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee this year.

This March, the Shifting the Dial Partnership will take over Birmingham Rep with a day of activity to mark the culmination of three years of discussion, workshop, performance and action to support young Black men's mental health resilience and address inequalities 

On 25 Mar, Fix It: The Celebration will take place in spaces across The Rep with a host of events that look back on the Shifting the Dial project, reviewing the impact the project has made to the young men who have been part of the last three years and celebrating the end of the Lottery funded project in its current form. 

On the eve of Birmingham Royal Ballet’s World Premiere of Carlos Acosta’s dazzling production of Don Quixote, we are delighted to announce that Marianela Nuñez and Vadim Muntagirov will perform the roles of Kitri and Basilio for two nights only at the Birmingham Hippodrome next week (22 & 23 February).

Marianela and Vadim performed the roles for The Royal Ballet in 2019, and Marianela danced Kitri with Acosta in the original staging in 2013 - Acosta’s first ever full length ballet.

Netflix have launches ten short documentaries created by recipients of the Documentary Talent Fund. It has been announced that Indian music composer Bappi Lahiri, who was known for his groovy disco tunes and eye-catching fashion style, has died. Having recovered from Covid-19 last year, Lahiri, was in hospital for the past month before passing.
