Rap star Offset is in Jamaica with wife Cardi B to host a party at the MECA nightclub in St Andrew tonight.

A member of Grammy-nominated Atlanta-based rap trio Migos, alongside his cousin Quavo and which recently lost another member, and also his cousin, Takeoff back in his native USA, the rapper, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, and superstar wife Cardi B, have been on vacation on the island, visiting tourist hot spots including Dunn’s River and Ocho Rios, to celebrate his 31st birthday ahead of tonight’s show at MECA (Marketplace Entertainment Centre For The Arts) in Constant Spring, in Kingston.

Away from the band, Offset has released solo music and collaborated with numerous artists, including featuring on Metro Boomin's single ‘No Complaints’ alongside Drake, which peaked at number 71 on the Billboard Hot 100. He recently joined Macklemore on the single release, ‘Willy Wonka’, from the album Gemini.

Cardy B – real name, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus – said that, following the death of Takeoff, she has been struggling to make her husband feel happy and ‘crack a smile’ during his grieving process.

Taking to social media, she wrote; “I feel like if I talk about the incident so desensitized, I feel like if we talk about how we really feel or what muthafuckas really been going through, y’all will start saying,

“‘Oh, sympathy. And we don’t want no sympathy. We ain’t no charity case. But no lie, I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy.

“Trying to make him crack a smile, seeing him randomly cry, see him trying to distract his mind completely, schedules been changing, trying to keep up with work after everything that he’s been going through these past couple of weeks.”

The power couple made hits together, including “’Bad and Boujee’ and ‘Clout’. Tonight’s event kicks off at 10pm.
