Satisfaction among students at the University of Wolverhampton has improved, according to a national survey.
The National Student Survey (NSS) asks students from all over the country how satisfied they are with their university, course, teaching, support, resources and students’ union.
Overall satisfaction among students at the University of Wolverhampton is at 83 per cent – up from 82 per cent last year and the same as the national average.
Students were particularly happy with the learning opportunities offered by the University, with 85 per cent reporting they were satisfied.
The quality of the learning community has risen to 79 per cent following the significant investment the University has made in its physical and digital learning environment over the last few years. Listening to the student voice has also improved.
Satisfaction with the learning resources remained high at 86 per cent, with academic support increasing to 78 per cent.
The NSS 2018 follows on from the latest employability statistics, which show that 96 per cent of University of Wolverhampton graduates have a job or are in further study six months after leaving, with 72 per cent in managerial or professional roles.
The University was recently awarded a Silver award in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), recognising the quality of the learning and teaching.

“Alongside our recent TEF Silver Award and the latest high employability figures, the results of the NSS 2018 show that the University of Wolverhampton is a great place to study as the prospects are excellent.
“As a University we are at the heart of economic regeneration in the Black Country and are making significant investment in improving the student experience through our ongoing £250m Our Vision, Your Opportunity programme. This has resulted in new outstanding facilities like the Rosalind Franklin science building, a new £18m business school, high-tech engineering facilities at our Telford Innovation Campus, a new courtyard, catering and social learning facilities at our city campus and the ongoing £100m Springfield Campus development.”
The University’s Clearing website is now up and running and courses still have spaces available. Clearing offers an alternative route for enrolling on a University course.
BTEC and Access students who already have their results can start the application process now while A Level students can apply for a place when they receive results on Thursday 16 August 2018.
