Rising Warwickshire cricket star Sam Hain was bowled over when he received a new car from Motorpoint. The 19 year-old right hander, who become the youngest player in Warwickshire CCC history to score a First Class century and double century last season, collected the keys for his shiny new Hyundai i30 1.6 CRDi from the Birmingham branch of the UK’s leading car supermarket.
Motorpoint recently agreed a major new partnership with Warwickshire CCC, which sees the company become the ‘Official Car Partner’ to the Club for the next three years.
As part of the agreement Motorpoint, which is based on Lichfield Road in the city, has taken the naming rights for the West Stand, which has been rebranded the Motorpoint Stand.
Sam, who broke into the first team squad at the age of 17, intends to use the sign written car for travelling back and forth to training at Edgbaston Stadium. “I would like to say thank you to Motorpoint for providing me with a new car,” he said. “Not only does it look fantastic but it drives brilliantly - making travelling around Birmingham a real pleasure.”
John Hood, General Manager of Motorpoint Birmingham, added: “We’re thrilled to be the ‘Official Car Partner’ for Warwickshire CCC and as part of the agreement provide future stars such as Sam Hain with one of the 4,000 new and nearly new low mileage cars that we stock at Motorpoint.”
