Leicester has become only the fourth city in the UK to welcome the popular Sixes Social Cricket brand. The sports-themed concept combines the game of cricket with top-notch hospitality for a great night out.
Re-imagining cricket for the modern socialite, guests can look forward to precision sports technology alongside burgers, sharing plates and wood-fired pizzas. Quality food and drink is at the heart of what Sixes offers, making it a great night out with or without the sports!
There is a large bar at centre of the venue from which the team will be shaking up their experimental cocktails including the Eton mess (Strawberry Pampero Especial rum, ginger foam, meringue, brûléed) and the Bread and Butter (Hennessey VS, brown butter, spiced honey, bread), as well as a full menu of classic cocktails, beer, wine and shakes.
When it comes to the cricket, guests can prepare for adrenaline fuelled batting as you take to the nets placed throughout the venue. From cricketing novices through to the professionals, guests can simply grab a bat, select their level and swing for the boundaries. Sixes’ cutting-edge technology bowls out soft cricket balls, with points scored depending on which targets you hit. Sure to bring out everyone’s competitive side, it’s the perfect activity for groups and corporate events as well as an evening out with friends.
Sixes Social Cricket was brought to Leicester by two local business partners, Neer Modha and Ravi Mashru, who commented: “We had heard about Sixes Social Cricket and visited the London venue. As soon as we tried it, we were hooked. It’s a fun concept, which brings together friends through sport and hospitality.
“We knew we wanted to bring the venue to Leicester and can’t wait to open our doors in December.” Opened in mid-December, Sixes Social Cricket is located on Halford Street in Leicester City Centre.
