Following her sell out 2023 Fringe show Y2K Woman, viral sensation Sooz Kempner will be taking to the road this autumn with her brand-new show ‘Class of 2000’, following her tenth year performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Continuing with the theme of growing up in the early 2000’s, Sooz’s new show takes a look at class though the lens of a teenage girl growing up during the turn of the century. With her signature comedic style, Sooz invites audiences to reminisce about an era of dial-up internet, boy bands, and questionable fashion choices.
Sooz Kempner is fresh off the stage of the world premier of ‘Withnail & I’ with Robert Sheehan (Umbrella Academy, Misfits) and has recently guest starred in new Amazon Prime US sitcom ‘Dinner With Parents’ (US remake of Friday Night Dinner). Sooz’s career began in the stand-up comedy circuits of London, and she has since graced the stages of comedy festivals, starred as Doom in ‘Doom's Day’, a major multi-platform Doctor Who spin-off series with the BBC, and is currently rehearsing for her upcoming role in Grayson: The Musical, playing the dual role of Grayson Perry’s mother and his wife, Philippa.
She also guest starred on Richard Herring’s Leicester Square Theatre Podcast in 2024 and well as regularly contributing to NonCensored, Evil Men and Paper Cuts podcasts.
