Children can ditch their 21sth century gadgets and have a go at making old-fashioned toys when Haden Hill House Museum puts on half-term activities. Toys that Grandma used to Make, on Tuesday 16 February, gives children the chance to make simple knitted toys, peg dolls and peg doll superheroes. Sessions cost £2 and the fun is from 11am-3pm.

On Wednesday February 17 between 11am-3pm visitors can open an old-fashioned toy cupboard, use their imagination and play with toys from the past as well as take part in quizzes and toy-themed trails.

Lots of fun and laughter is lined up on Thursday February 18 when Ron Popple performs his magic tricks and balloon modelling from 11am-3pm.

And to make some extra pocket money children can bring their old toys to sell in a table top sale on Friday February 19 from 11am-3pm. Places need to be booked on 01384-569444 and no electrical items.
