On Thursday 2nd, Uganda Tourism Board is bringing an amazing Mountain Gorilla to London's Trafalgar Square...but don't panic its an animatronic version, not a real great ape! To highlight that Uganda is the best place on the planet to see these amazing creatures, we'll be introducing our gorilla to the public on the northern edge of the square (in front of the National Gallery) at the times shown below.

This will no doubt give some lucky individuals the opportunity to create their own 'David Attenborough moment' with some iconic British structures in the background

Encountering Mountain Gorillas in the forests of Bwindi has been voted the most desireable wildlife experience in Africa by UK travellers, and excitingly this endangered species is currently enjoying an amazing baby boom, with numbers now approaching 900. That's a great conservation success and tourism has played a surprisingly important role, causing Rough Guide to declare Uganda as Africa's No.1 destination in 2017.

Our gorilla will also be entertaining the crowds at The Destinations Travel Show (at London Olympia from 2nd - 5th Feb), highlighting that gorillas are without doubt one of Uganda's main tourist attractions.

Our gorilla will be available for photos and filming in Trafalgar Square on Thursday 2nd February. The times are as follows:
