Children in Derby are being given the chance to let their imaginations run wild in a children’s cake design competition running at all Cake Box Derby stores.

The challenge is simple – children can pick up a Mini Cake Masters design sheet from the Cake Box Derby store, decorate it with their dream cake design and return it to a Cake Box store by 28 August 2025. Each Cake Box store will select a local finalist, with one overall national winner crowned on 1 September 2025. 

The winning child will see their cake creation brought to life by Cake Box’s expert bakers and enjoy a special ‘Cake Box Party’, including a recreation of their cake design made by Cake Box’s expert bakers, a party platter full of tasty treats, balloons and fun extras for the ultimate celebration.   

How to enter:

  • Collect a design sheet in-store at Cake Box Derby or download it from the Cakebox website.
    • Draw their dream cake on the design sheet and list its ingredients – the more creative, the better. 
    • Return the completed sheet to any Cake Box store by 28 August 2025.  

The competition is open to children of all ages and is a fun, creative activity for the summer holidays. As well as offering a chance to win, it encourages local families to get involved in the community and get creative during the summer holidays.
