Suffolk and Norfolk tourism businesses to explore the future of the visitor economy

Tourism businesses from across Suffolk and Norfolk will come together at this year's Suffolk + Norfolk LVEP Tourism Business Conference to explore the opportunities ahead for the region's visitor economy.

The day-long event, organised by the Suffolk and Norfolk Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP), will take place at The Halls in Norwich on Thursday 5 November and will bring together tourism businesses and organisations from across the two counties. The conference will look at some of the key issues shaping tourism across the region, from regenerative tourism and nature recovery to accessibility, sustainable transport, digital development and the promotion of Suffolk and Norfolk as destinations.

Speakers include:

  • Pete Waters, Executive Director of Visit East of England, who will provide an update on the work of the LVEP and its plans for the future.

  • Lady Victoria Borwick, Chair of VisitEngland, who will offer a national perspective on the visitor economy.

  • Dom Hyams of Purple Goat, who will share insights into accessibility, inclusion and the opportunities this creates for tourism businesses.

  • The Norfolk and Suffolk Local Nature Recovery Strategy, exploring the links between nature recovery and tourism.

  • Regenerative tourism, with the University of Greenwich team and Deb Brookes exploring how tourism can have a positive impact on the places and communities it operates in.

  • Studio Antigravity, who will share the latest on the Come Hungry / Home of the Harvest campaign.

  • Transport East, with an update on its recent Public Transport Report.

  • An update on the new Visit East of England, Visit Norfolk and Visit Suffolk websites, developed with DestinationCore.

The conference will also feature a marketplace showcasing businesses and organisations from across the region, as well as opportunities to network and share ideas. Pete Waters, Executive Director of Visit East of England, said: "This is a great opportunity for the sector to come together, network, see old friends, and learn more about the progress of the LVEP and especially how our 'Home of the Harvest – Come Hungry' paid-for marketing campaign is delivering new staying visitors to Suffolk and Norfolk."

The conference will also feature a marketplace showcasing organisations supporting the visitor economy across Suffolk and Norfolk. Conference sponsors Lovewell Blake LLP and Larking Gowen will be joined by marketplace exhibitors including FSB, Howes Percival LLP, Tyneham Home & Hospitality, Meet Cambridge, Ronaldo Ices Ltd and Swiss Camplings.

The Suffolk + Norfolk LVEP Tourism Business Conference takes place on Thursday 5 November 2026 at The Halls in Norwich.
