Jude and Jobe Bellingham have been selected for the England senior national team for the first time, marking a significant moment for the brothers, from Stourbridge, in the West Midlands.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe has been called up to the England senior national team for the first time by head coach Thomas Tuchel, with the 21-year-old forming part of the 25-man squad selected for upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Croatia and Spain. having previously captained England's Under-21 side, he joins his older brother, the Real Madrid star, Jude Bellingham in the senior setup.
"Lee Carsley has been talking highly of Jobe in recent months, so there's an opportunity for him to join and learn in the first-team,” Tuchel said.
“He's in a good run of form for Borussia Dortmund. So, we have 21 outfield players for the first match and possibly 22 for the second." Should he make his debut, the Bellinghams will become the 22nd set of brothers to earn senior caps for the senior national team - after defenders Trevoh and Nathaniel Chalobah became the 21st set of brothers to play for England when Trevoh debuted against Senegal in June 2025 and Nathaniel earned his single cap in 2018 during a 3-2 Nations League win over Spain.
Prior to the Chalobah duo, Gary and Phil Neville were the last brothers to feature together. Phil debuted in 1996 to join Gary, with the pair representing the Three Lions side-by-side until 2007. Further back, World Cup winners Bobby and Jack Charlton made their debuts in 1958 and 1965 respectively, anchoring England's iconic 1966 triumph.
One glaring omission from the squad, was Chelsea's Palmer, who was hugely disappointed when he was overlooked for the World Cup in the summer after a stop-start season due to injury. He withdrew from the last England camp, in September and October, because of a minor fitness issue, but he has been back to his best this season with five goals and three assists in 11 appearances.
England host Croatia at Wembley on Thursday, 12 November, before travelling to face Spain at the Metropolitano Stadium on Sunday, 15 November.
