A week on from the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland, the world's best athletes are turning their attention to the outdoor season and the 2026 Wanda Diamond League campaign.

The Basketball Africa League (BAL) have announced that a record 15 marketing and merchandising partners, including five new partners, will support the 2026 BAL season that tips off today at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, in South Africa.

The 2026 Generali Prague Half Marathon delivered a spectacular morning of elite racing and cosmopolitan feel as 17,000 runners from 117 nationalities took to the streets of the Czech capital under chilly but sunny skies, with temperatures ranging from 1°C to 10°C.

The Wanda Diamond League meeting in Doha is currently scheduled to go ahead as planned on May 8, but the Diamond League continues to monitor the situation in Doha, working in close coordination with meeting organisers, the Qatar Athletics Federation, the relevant authorities in Qatar and World Athletics.

Newly crowned World Indoor 3000m Champion, Josh Kerr, has confirmed that he will attempt to break the men’s mile world record at the Novuna London Athletics Meet, part of the Wanda Diamond League series, on Saturday 18 July.

The women's category of Olympic sports will be limited to biological females from 2028.
