Sport and physical activity providers are being invited to complete a short 'health check' survey to show what impact, if any, Covid-19 has had on them.

As part of its ongoing work to support the local sport and physical activity sector, the City of Wolverhampton Council wants to take stock of where local providers are as a consequence of the pandemic.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II launched the 16th official Queen’s Baton Relay, a Games tradition that celebrates, connects and excites communities from across the Commonwealth during the build up to the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022.

The Relay began at Buckingham Palace, where Her Majesty placing Her message to the Commonwealth into the Baton.

Sports fans hoping to secure tickets for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games need to act fast as the main ticket ballot for the Games will close at 8pm today (Thursday September 30). There are more than one million tickets available for the Games, the biggest multi-sport event to be held in the UK since the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with prices starting at just £8 for under 16s and £15 for adults.

The British teams have been selected for the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships which are due to take place in Thailand next February.

The Championships, which were rescheduled from November due to the Pandemic, will see British teams compete in all five events: uphill and up-and-down mountain races, the junior races and the 40km and 80km trail races.
