The eSkootr Championship (eSC), has launched its Rider Programme for professional athletes wanting to compete in the brand-new electric racing series that starts in the spring of 2022.

The programme is open to professional athletes from all backgrounds, from wheeled sports to balance sports such as skating, skiing, snowboarding and surfing, with a number of high-profile names already expressing interest and set to be announced soon.

More of the biggest games in world cricket are coming to Birmingham in 2022 with the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announcing seven Major Match days for Edgbaston Stadium next summer. Edgbaston will host Joe Root’s England men side for an LV= Insurance Test Match against South Africa from Thursday 25 to Monday 29 August and a mouth-watering Royal London International (ODI) versus India on Saturday 9 July.

The venue will also host the biggest day in the county cricket calendar, with Vitality Blast Finals Day returning to Edgbaston for the 14th time on Saturday 16 July.

Thousands of young athletes made their way home on the 5^th of September after an exhilarating four days of sport at the 14^th School Games National Finals, a multi-sport event which aims to give them the experience and tools to follow in the footsteps of professional athletes, many of which were on campus.

Christine Mboma produced a powerful late surge to edge out Shericka Jackson in a star-studded women's 200m race at the Brussels Diamond League. The Namibian clocked 21.84 seconds to finish ahead of Jackson (21.95) and Britain's world champion Dina Asher-Smith (22.04).

Fifa has opened disciplinary proceedings after racist abuse was aimed at England players during the 4-0 win over Hungary in a World Cup qualifier in Budapest. Raheem Sterling and Jude Bellingham were both targeted.

England players were also pelted with objects in the second half and a flare was thrown on the pitch by the home fans at Puskas Arena. England condemned the abuse as "completely unacceptable".

Wolverhampton’s new Cycling Ambassador, Commonwealth Games gold medallist Hugh Porter MBE, has been sharing his passion for biking by exploring new initiatives to encourage cycling in the city.

Wasps Rugby Football Club have officially opened the doors of their new state-of-the-art Elite Performance and Innovation Centre – which gives the club one of the finest training complexes in English rugby. The multi-million-pound centre at Henley-in-Arden will be the new home of Wasps’ men’s first team and academy.

It has taken six months to build the facility on the 13-acre site at a cost of £4 million, with the construction project completed by Warwickshire-based development partner Wigley Building & Development.
