In September, Exisle Publishing will be releasing ‘General Lucian K. Truscott: Quite a talent for fighting’, the first in a new series, Great Combat Commanders.
General Truscott was one of the most important generals during World War II and is one of the least celebrated. This plain-speaking leader commanded campaigns in North Africa, Southern France, and Italy, where he led the capture of Rome.
At one point he commanded over 200,000 soldiers and he took part in five amphibious landings that made him the foremost expert in the US. Glyn Harper QSM, PhD, MA (Hons), BA, Dip Tchng, based in New Zealand, is the award-winning author of more than twenty books for adults and thirteen books for children, many of which have achieved best-selling status.
Glyn researched this book through a Fulbright Scholarship. A succinct biography of Truscott’s efforts during World War II, this book includes detailed accounts of key moments in his life, previously unpublished photos, and detailed battle maps.
Review copies of ‘General Lucian K. Truscott’ are available now—pdf or physical copy. Extracts are available for publication, and interviews with Glyn can be arranged.
