Lesley Joseph, Pauline Quirke and Linda Robson take a break from filming the third series of the classic sit-com Birds of a Feather to don pink finery to support Breast Cancer Care’s Big Pink this October. Lesley Joseph, who has supported the charity for the past seven years, said: “I’ve had family members affected by breast cancer so it’s a cause close to my heart and I’m so delighted to be supporting the Big Pink. Breast Cancer Care understands the emotions, challenges and decisions people with a breast cancer diagnosis face every day. That’s why they’re here with care, support and information from day one. I’m encouraging everyone to grab the girls, dress up and hold their own Big Pink to raise vital funds!”

Linda Robson says, “My sister Tina was diagnosed with grade 2 breast cancer six months ago aged 55 and has just finished her chemo. It was such a shock for her and the family. Like so many other women and their families it’s a long hard journey but with the love and support of family, the doctors and nurses she is recovering and everything crossed she will be able to carry on cancer free. Please support Breast Cancer Care; it could happen to you or a loved one.”

Pauline Quirke added, “It’s really easy to get involved in the Big Pink. Just gather your friends, family or colleagues together and wear pink, hold a bake sale or play pink themed bingo. Anything goes and everything makes a difference!”

Whether you have a cosy night in with friends, a dress down day at work, or a big brunch with neighbours, it's up to you, any pink goes. Every penny you raise will help Breast Cancer Care be there for families who need support.

Join Breast Cancer Care any day in October and hold your own Big Pink. It can be as fuss-free as you like – and every penny will help Breast Cancer Care continue to support to people facing breast cancer from day one.
