With just over four weeks to go until the opening game of this year’s T20 season, the team are gearing up for an exciting set of match days, beginning on Thursday 26 May when the Bears take on Northamptonshire Steelbacks at Edgbaston.

The home campaign will end with the eagerly anticipated local derby with rivals Worcestershire Rapids on Friday 24 June – a match that is expected to be a near sell-out. A match ticket for a Bears game includes so much more than just the cricket, with kids inflatables, live music and free giveaways for all.

Carlos Brathwaite, T20 Captain at Birmingham Bears, said: “I know the Bears fans love the Blast and I absolutely share that feeling. I am full of excitement about leading the side in the tournament this year and this is a great way to meet fans and local people across the region before we start another exciting season.”

Head of tenant engagement and placemaking at Brindleyplace, Matt Long, said: “Brindleyplace has quite a sporting heritage with the canal waterways being used for various activities and the Commonwealth Games team have been based here for some time now in preparation for the showpiece event starting in July.

“Sustainability has always been a priority for the estate and everyone will be interested to see the new recycled coffee bean shirt while enjoying a free beverage from the Bears. The Brindleyplace community wish the team the very best of luck for the forthcoming T20 tournament and look forward to welcoming them to Central Square.”

Prices start from just £15 for adults. A wide range of tickets are available including group offers for bookings of six or more, while under 12s go free and 12 to 15-year-olds are just £5. But hurry, these Early Bird prices will end on Sunday 1 May.
