Bola Tinubu, the candidate from the ruling party of Nigeria has been declared the winner of the disputed Nigerian Presidential Election with 37% of the vote.
With rivals Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar polling 25% and 29% respectively, after their parties had previously declared the poll 'a sham', demanding a rerun.
Tinubu is known as a "political godfather" - who helps put others into office, this time campaigning for the presidency with the slogan "It's my turn".
"I take this opportunity to appeal to my fellow contestants to let us team up together," he said in his acceptance speech. "It is the only nation we have. It is one country and we must build it together."
