Caerphilly Sport and Leisure Services has been named a finalist for the Best Innovation Award at the upcoming Welsh Sports Association Sports Industry Awards 2025.
The ceremony is set to take place tomorrow (Thursday 12th June 2025) at the Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff. The nomination recognises the department’s innovative implementation of SWIMTAG technology across Caerphilly County Borough leisure centres.
This initiative has transformed the swimming experience by providing users with real-time performance tracking, personalised insights, and gamification features. By integrating this technology, Caerphilly has enhanced engagement and motivation among swimmers, fostering a more inclusive and enjoyable environment.
