Pioneering transformative wellness destination, Chiva-Som Hua Hin has announced its participation in the 13th annual celebration of Global Wellness Day focusing on promoting sustainability and wellness as a way of life.

In honour of Global Wellness Day, celebrated on the second Saturday of June each year, the resort is inviting its guests to partake in a Medical Mission to be conducted on 1 June 2024 and a Forest Plantation program scheduled on 5 June 2024. Both activities follow the Global Wellness Day 2024's theme of #MagentaNature.

Supporting the principle that wellness and sustainability are mutually collaborative, Chiva-Som Hua Hin aims to foster awareness that living actively and sustainably should be a way of life rather than an occurrence. Belgin Aksoy, the founder of Global Wellness Day and Friend of Chiva-Som, will join the Medical Mission for the third consecutive time on 1 June 2024, which will see a team of health and wellness experts from Chiva-Som led by the General Manager Vaipanya Kongkwanyuen conduct medical checkups and provide initial medical care to the residents of Bann Klong Noi village in Hua Hin.

Bann Klong Noi is located in a remote hilly area away from the city and lacks medical facilities. The team will also undertake recreational activities for children and educate them on environment preservation and plantation apart from donations.

Subsequently, on 5 June 2024, Chiva-Som will conduct a major plantation drive at the Pa-La-U Watershed Re-Forestry Project in honour of both Global Wellness Day's #MagentaNature theme and World Environment Day. A total of 1,000 forest trees will be planted at the Project across a forest area of 37,539.68 square metres according to the royal wishes of His Majesty the King Rama IX (Pa-La-U) by a team from Chiva-Som along with villagers in the area of Huai Sat Yai Subdistrict, Pa La U. Encouraging guests to be a part of its sustainability initiatives, both activities are open for Chiva-Som Hua Hin resort guests.

Commenting on the initiatives, Mr. Vaipanya Kongkwanyuen, General Manager, Chiva-Som, says: “We are very glad to extend our support to Global Wellness Day.

“We have a common vision. Global Wellness Day is a good-cause and it is making an impactful movement not only in the wellness industry but to the cause of sustainability as well.”
