Construction work is underway on Barratt Homes’ upcoming development The Meadows, in the desirable neighbourhood of Witham St Hughs.
The leading developer’s directors cut the sod at the 162-home community located south of the A46, which is set to deliver a collection of three and four bedroom properties. The development will also underpin approximately 324 jobs for local people during its time and will bring significant investments to the area.
The Meadows holds a strategic location for individuals commuting to the south-west from Lincoln, as well as being approximately seven miles north-east of Newark-on-Trent, a bustling market town. Within the neighbourhood there is a nursery, along with a Co-op, a beauty and hair salon, and two takeaway restaurants.
Bus services are also available for travel to Lincoln and Newark. Mark Cotes, Managing Director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said: “We’re delighted to have started work at The Meadows and look forward to bringing much needed, quality new homes to the area.
“As the development begins to progress, we will not only be contributing to the local area financially, but also in terms of the jobs we have created for local people and the properties we are building. Investing in local communities is an extremely important part of building a new housing development.
“We pride ourselves on our commitment to the local community and strive to support it wherever we can.” House hunters are being encouraged to register their interest with Barratt Homes to be among the first to hear about the available properties.
