easyJet and easyJet holidays have been announced as official sponsors - and 'Supporter of Pride' - of this year’s Birmingham Pride parade.

This is the first time easyJet and easyJet holidays have sponsored Pride in Birmingham, following the city becoming home to the airline’s newest UK base in March, creating 140 jobs for pilots and crew and supporting around 1200 jobs in total. Birmingham Pride will see more than 30,000 visitors over the course of the weekend, with members of airline crew and easyJet holidays colleagues joining in the celebrations on Saturday 25th May as part of the official Birmingham Pride Parade, with a colourful and eye-catching float which will make its way through Birmingham City Centre from 11:00am as part of the overall weekend celebrations.

Marc McKenna-Coles, easyJet’s Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion said of the sponsorship: “We are enormously proud to be sponsoring Birmingham Pride.

“At easyJet and easyJet holidays, it’s our mission to bring people and communities together and so we’re delighted to be able to play a part in this fantastic celebration which shares in these important values. It has been a privilege to work with the Birmingham Pride team on what will be a fantastic event for our crew, colleagues, and customers who call Birmingham home.”

Director at Birmingham Pride, David Nash, said: “Birmingham Pride is excited to welcome easyJet and easyJet holidays on board for the first time this year as one of our Partners of Pride.

“We’re eagerly anticipating the event and look forward to seeing easyJet and easyJet holidays show up for the local Birmingham community.”
