Staff and students at Edgbaston College are celebrating an outstanding set of A-level exam results, with 84 per cent of students achieving an A* to B grade and 56 per cent of students achieving an A* or A grade.

Over 70 per cent of students received places at Russell Group universities and 13 students received places to study Medicine and Dentistry in the UK.

The College also saw strong results from their one-year retake programmes, with 100 per cent of retake students improving by one or more grades.

Owais Ahmed, Principal of Edgbaston College, said: “We are all incredibly proud of our students who have worked hard to achieve these fantastic grades. We are delighted to see so many of our students going off to top universities and securing places on competitive courses, and particularly proud of our retake students who have achieved great improvements in their grades.

“I would also like to recognise our fantastic staff for their dedication, excellent teaching and pastoral support which helps each of our students achieve their goals. We look forward to welcoming more students to the college in September.”

Places are available for prospective students to join Edgbaston College this Autumn, although applications are welcomed all-year round and the College prides itself on the flexibility it offers its students.
