Loreen was announced as the Eurovision 2023 winner this weekend at the Grand Final in Liverpool and has already earned almost $250,000 (£191,137) from streaming.

Casino bonus comparison website Mr. Gamble has tracked Spotify plays of each 2023 contestant’s and past winner’s songs to establish how much money Eurovision contestants, and the 2023 winner, can expect to gain after performing at the event, based on the average per-stream rate across major streaming services. Eurovision winners typically earn an estimated £140,280 ($177,615) from streaming, based on the average number of streams across every previous winning song, 44.4 million.

This means Sweden’s, Italy’s, and Norway's entrants have already earned more than the average Eurovision winner since the Grand Final on Saturday.

The 2023 winner, Loreen from Sweden’s Tattoo, gained 60.5 million plays on Spotify, earning over £191,000 in royalties. 

Italy’s song, Due Vite by Marco Mengoni, has the second highest number of streams, 50.5 million, earning potentially over £159,000. Norway’s Alessandra has the third most-streamed song of Eurovision 2023, Queen of Kings, earning over an estimated £150,000 based on 47.7 million streams.

Finland’s Käärijä’s Cha Cha Cha has 23.9 million streams, with estimated earnings of £75,521.

Poland’s Entry, Solo by Blanka, has earned a potential £39,020 with 12.3 million streams. France’s Évidemment is sixth with 9.29 million streams, potentially gaining £29,354 in royalties.

The United Kingdom’s I Wrote A Song by Mae Muller is a close seventh with 9.21 million streams, with estimated earnings of £29,109. Czechia’s song My Sister’s Crown is eighth, with potential earnings of £25,169 due to 7.96 million streams. Israel’s Unicorn is currency ninth with 7.94 million streams, equating to an estimated £25,110 earned.

Austria's Who the Hell Is Edgar has the tenth most-streamed song of this year’s contest, potentially gaining £20,264 based on 6.4 million streams. The combined earnings of all 37 contestants Eurovision songs are currently £960,733, based on 304.1 million streams. 

The UK's Eurovision entrant Mae Muller's I Wrote A Song earned an estimated £29,109 from streaming. Since being announced as the UK entry on March 9, her Spotify streams have been boosted by 11.6 million across Mae’s discography. This equates to estimated earnings of £37,203.55 ($46,453.34).

 1. The Netherlands: Arcade by Duncan Laurence (2019 winner) – 944 million plays earning £2.98 million

Arcade is the first winning song for the Netherlands since 1975, earning 498 points. It is the most-streamed winning Eurovision song on Spotify, with almost one billion streams. The song has over double the number of streams of its closest competitor and has racked up potential Spotify earnings of almost £3 million. 

2. Italy: Zitti E Buoni by Måneskin (2021 winner) – 389 million plays earning £1.23 million

Rock band Måneskin was the favourite in 2021 and took home the win for Italy with 524 points. Their winning song has gained over 389 million streams, earning an estimated £1.23 million.

3. Norway: Fairytale by Alexander Rybak (2009 winner) – 270 million plays earning £854,000

Rybak won the third Eurovision final for Norway in 2009 with 387 points. Fairytale has gained 270 million Spotify streams, potentially earning the singer £854,000.

4. Sweden: Waterloo by ABBA – (1974 winner) 242 million plays earning £765,000

ABBA’s Waterloo was named the best song in Eurovision history in 2005. Despite this, it is the fourth-highest-earning winning Eurovision song with £765,000 in earnings, based on 242 million streams. 

5. Sweden: Euphoria by Loreen (2012 winner) – 148 million plays earning £470,000

Sweden’s 2023 entry, Loreen has previously won the contest in 2012 with Euphoria. It currently has 148 million Spotify streams, equating to an estimated £470,000 in earnings.

6. Sweden: Heroes by Måns Zelmerlöw (2015 winner) – 147 million plays earning £467,000

Måns Zelmerlöw is sixth with 147 million Spotify streams and estimated royalties of £467,000.

7. Sweden: Toy by Netta (2018 winner) – 101 million plays earning £321,000

Toy by Netta is the latest winner from Sweden, marking the fourth to appear on the top ten list. It so far has 101 million streams and £321,000 in potential earnings. 

8. Germany: Satellite by Lena (2010 winner) – 73 million plays earning £321,000

Satellite is Germany’s top-earning Eurovision single, winning in 2006. It has earned an estimated £231,000 in royalties since, based on 73 million streams.

9. Sweden: Tattoo by Loreen (2023 winner) – 60.5 million plays earning £191,000

Catapulting to the ninth most-streamed winning Eurovision song of all-time, Tattoo by Loreen has already earned £191,000 via streaming. This marks Sweden's fifth ranking in the top ten. 

10. Finland: Hard Rock Hallelujah by Lordi (2006 winner) – 51 million plays earning £164,000

Lordi’s 2006 win with Hard Rock Hallelujah was the first for Finland and has earned an estimated £164,000 in royalties with 51 million streams.
