With Bonfire Night fireworks events set to ‘explode’ across the UK, police are advising people to attend local events instead of flocking to unauthorised gatherings to celebrate today, with displays that have evolved into massive shows.

As the weather forecast set for it to be dry, settled, with above-average temperatures for this time of year, millions will be flocking to enjoy impressive displays. It has, for some time, been strongly advised for the public to attend their local events instead of private, unlicensed displays which have evolved into huge firework shows.

Major spectacles are planned, with many gaining huge reputations for their processions, features and burning effigies, with huge crowds turning up to shows. With Guy Fawkes Night set to be celebrated tonight, parties will be held throughout Great Britain, in some communities in Northern Ireland and in some other parts of the Commonwealth.

In many areas of the UK, Bonfire Night celebrations will also be featuring funfairs, family entertainment, and special food and drinks. In some circumstances, relevant authorities chose to hold their family-fun displays during this weekend just gone.
