To mark the 10th anniversary of the Grenada Chocolate Festival, the event will celebrate the twin delights of chocolate and rum produced on the island.
The Festival will run from 17-21 May and is a great way of exploring Grenada with visits to cocoa plantations, chocolate factories and rum distilleries as well as waterfalls and beaches.
New activities for 2023 include learning how to make 'under the counter' cocoa infused Grenadian rum, pairing the fragrance and flavour of chocolate with rum and a cocktail making competition.
Some old favourites return including being a cocoa farmer for a day, a chocolate meditation, doing the cocoa dance and making cocoa-based wellness products. And of course, there are plenty of opportunities to indulge the taste buds with chocolate tastings, chocolate and rum themed dinners as well as chocolate flavoured cocktails.
Perfume maker, Stephen Drikes, will lead a workshop to appreciate the layers of fragrance and flavour of chocolate through a 5-course pairing menu. The workshop takes place in the historic surrounds of The Tower Estate and include a tour of the gardens.
True Blue Bay Boutique Resort will be the host hotel with guests having free access to some events. The Festival is open to all visitors to Grenada, where holidaymakers can book tickets for individual events, or buy a pass for the full festival.
