The new chairman of the Board of Directors of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) is on a mission to help elevate the profile of the destination in the marketplace.

Randall Dolland has solid experience in the tourism industry, having cut his teeth in areas including hotel operations, the marine sector, culinary and cultural experiences.

Petra Roach, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority, commented recently: “Our Chairman brings to the table entrepreneurial acumen and trade experience which will serve Grenada well as we emerge from the shadows of the pandemic.

“Our arrival numbers are trending in the right direction, connectivity is increasing, new hotels are coming on board and our events are back. The future looks bright and exciting times are ahead for Grenada.”

During a recent chat with Dolland at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s (CHTA) Caribbean Travel Marketplace in San Juan,
he echoed Roach’s optimism and reasoned that capitalizing on continued pent-up demand was key to positioning the destination’s “pure authentic experience” in the marketplace.

Dolland’s charge is to align tourism’s development goals with the new government’s transformation agenda.
