Staff and residents at Harper Fields care home, in Balsall Common are inviting local toddlers and pre-schoolers to free nature-inspired arts and crafts sessions at the home.

Launching on Tuesday September 9th, the sessions will take place monthly and be free for all who would like to take part. The intergenerational sessions, which are suitable for children up to the age of seven, will be run by Nature Makers Coventry, a local company specialising in crafting using natural materials.

Residents and the home’s activities team are very much looking forward to hosting the children and taking part in the arts and crafts activities alongside them. Parents, carers and childminders are encouraged to bring children along to the sessions which will take place monthly on Tuesdays, starting at 11am on September 9th.

There will be a selection of hot and cold drinks plus homemade cakes and pastries made by the home’s talented head chef and hospitality team for everyone to enjoy. Hayley Wilkinson, General Manager at Harper Fields, said: “We’re very excited about this idea, it seems like a real win-win for all concerned.

“The residents at our home absolutely love having children around, we have lots of space and can easily host the sessions and I know parents and carers are always looking for fun activities so I think everyone will get a lot out of the sessions. If you’re looking for something to do with your little ones, please do come along on September 9th, we’d love to have you join us.
