Yesterday people worldwide paused to remember the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose fight for justice and equality continues to inspire the Caribbean, in particular, and the rest of the world, in general.

His message of resilience, unity and empowerment mirrors the Caribbean’s own struggles for freedom and civil rights, reminding all of the power of collective action in shaping a more just society. Dr. King’s dream of a world where all people are treated with dignity and respect remains as relevant today as it ever has.

As Caribbean communities across the globe honour his life, we are reminded of our shared responsibility to uphold his vision.

So, it was a ‘Happy MLK Day’ to all, in the Caribbean and wider afield!
