The Indian Government on Friday announced that there would be one day State Mourning throughout the country in the wake of death of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II.

Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, said: "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered as a stalwart of our times.

 

“She provided inspiring leadership to her nation and people. She personified dignity and decency in public life.

“Pained by her demise. My thoughts are with her family and people of UK in this sad hour."

 Pakistan also reacted with Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, saying: "Deeply grieved at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Pakistan joins the UK and other Commonwealth nations in mourning her death. My heartfelt condolences go out to the Royal family, people and Government of the UK."

 The Ministry of Home Affairs for the Indian Government decided that a State Mourning was set to take place on September 11.
