MarineMax have just announced the promotion of Alex Velez to Area Marina Manager for New Jersey.
Since joining the Brick store team in 2021 as Marina Manager, Alex has proven to be an invaluable asset, driving consistent growth in both marina revenue and profits while effectively managing SG&A for one of our most extensive facilities. Working closely with General Manager Doug Larsen and Service Manager Justin Gullo, Alex has played a vital role in developing and implementing successful processes for winter storage, enhancing timely follow-ups, and creating a culture of enthusiastic support, affectionately known as "FANS," at the Brick location.
His willingness to take on additional responsibilities and support his colleagues during staffing shortages exemplifies his dedication to the team and commitment to excellence. In his new role, Alex will collaborate with the MarineMax Ship Bottom and Somers Point teams to increase occupancy rates, improve marina logistics and efficiencies, and assist in managing various capital expenditure projects.
His leadership and expertise are expected to drive further success across the region. Alex lives in Toms River with his wife, Marie, and their two sons, Christian and AJ. On weekends, the family enjoys boating, fishing, and spending quality time with their dog, Ghost.
