Motorhome & Caravan Show, NEC Birmingham, announces leading outdoor experts and celebrity speaker line-up this October
The Motorhome & Caravan Show will return to the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham from Tuesday 15 - Sunday 20 October 2024, spanning almost 21 acres (11 halls) of the NEC.
The UK’s largest Leisure Vehicle Show will host a star-studded line-up of celebrity speakers including household favourites TV presenter Matt Baker MBE, Springwatch’s Kate Humble, Race Across the World’s Betty Mukherjee, former professional tennis player, Caravan and Motorhome Club member and campervanner Annabel Croft, President of the Camping and Caravan Club, wildlife cameraman and presenter Hamza Yassin and radio and television presenter, Miranda Krestovnikoff. Along with checking out new-for-2025 campervans, caravans and motorhomes, (over 1000 models will be on display) and the latest innovations in tech, gadgets and accessories, visitors can look forward to hearing inspiring stories from leaders in the world of outdoor adventures - all included in price of the Show ticket!
Featuring free talks from some of the UK’s biggest nature-loving personalities, the popular Inspiration Theatre will also see talks and presentations from popular motorhome and caravan vloggers and personalities including; Tread the Globe’s Chris & Marianne, American adventurers Frankie & Alex, The Caravanning Mummy Rachel Witek, seasoned motorhome tourer Bob Reeves, camping-chef Mark Bonito from Vanlife Eats, television chef Kwoklyn Wan, travel guide authors Highlands 2 Hammock’s Gemma & Campbell, world-travelled motorhoming family Roaming Radfords and travel writer Marcus Leach take to the stage. All will be joined by the Inspiration Theatre’s compere and longtime show-friend and comedian, Rowland Rivron. TV presenter Matt Baker MBE will be sharing stories from his hit TV series Our Farm on the Dales and Travels with Mum & Dad, as well his fond memories of childhood caravanning holidays. Another family favourite and star of TV’s Spring Watch, Kate Humble will take to the stage to talk about her love of the outdoors and her latest cookery book, Home Made.
RSPB Vice President Miranda Krestovnikoff will be inspiring visitors to hit the trail as she shares her favourite waterside walks, combining her love of the outdoors with her passion for spotting coastal and freshwater wildlife. Wildlife cameraman, presenter and keen birder, Hamza Yassin will be sharing some of his favourite behind the camera moments while filming in nature, talking about his role as President of the Camping and Caravanning Club and signing copies of his new book, Hamza’s Wild World. Former tennis player, TV presenter and Caravan and Motorhome Club member, Annabel Croft will be talking about her career in tennis, her time on Strictly Come Dancing and some of her favourite places to escape to and explore in her campervan.
When not cooking for the TV cameras, Kwoklyn Wan is likely to be found touring new places in his caravan. He’ll be sharing some of his favourite destinations, along with his deliciously easy to make ‘one wok, one pot’ dishes he cooks whilst away.
Following her stint on Race Across The World, Betty Muhkerjee will be talking about her epic journey that took her through many countries without a smartphone or credit card, as well as her most recent campervan tour of Scotland! Popular Youtube channel dedicated to four years of life on the road, Tread the Globe, was founded by travel enthusiasts Chris & Marianne.
The campervan-couple will be speaking at the Show over the weekend following the completion of their four-year-long journey across more than 50 countries. Having last spoken at the Show four years ago before heading off on their travels in their trusty Fiat, Trudy, they are back to finish the story and tell the tales of their truly remarkable adventure. From the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains to the enchanting bazaars of Marrakech and the myriad hiking routes in the Rif Mountains, motorhomer, Marcus Leach returns to share his travels and stories from his time exploring the magic of northern Spain.
Closer to home, join Caravanning Mummy, Rachel Witek, and discover why the Devon and Dorset coasts are a top choice for family getaways, with their rich history, stunning scenery and activities that promise fun for all ages. Pro Mountain biker, Scott Beaumont joins Rowland to talk about his mounting biking adventures as well as his top tips and tricks for heading off the beaten track and how his Adria motorhome helped facilitate and level up his racing, travelling and cycling experiences.
