World champion boxer Lauren Price will return to Ystrad Mynach next month as she continues preparations for her upcoming world title fight.

Momentum continues to build ahead of the Coelmo Napoli City Half Marathon, organised by Napoli Running and scheduled for Sunday, 22 February, as attention now turns to the women’s elite field.

On a day with no less than 18 finals, Renee Regis (club: Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers, coach: Darren Braithwaite), Jeremiah Azu (Cardiff, Helen James) and Hannah Nuttall (Charnwood, Helen Clitheroe) were among the stand-out performers on the second and final day of action at the Novuna UK Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham.

Everything is in place for a spectacular edition of the Coelmo Napoli City Half Marathon on Sunday, 22 February.

There were stand-out gold-medal winning performances from Dina Asher-Smith (club: Blackheath & Bromley, coach: Michael J Ford), Molly Caudery (Thames Valley, Stuart Caudery), Jeremiah Azu (Cardiff, Helen James), as well as a blistering British record time in the women’s 800m heats from Keely Hodgkinson (Leigh, Trevor Painter), as ten British champions were crowned on day one of the Novuna UK Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham.

With six months to go until the European Athletics Championships, organisers of Birmingham 2026 have announced a call for volunteer applications.
