Gold medal sprinter, Britain's Adam Gemili will be facing some of the fastest men on the planet later this month at the Glasgow Indoor Grand Prix. The latest star to be added to the starting list for the worlds number one indoor athletics meeting, Gemili will face Britain’s reigning World and European Indoor 60m Champion Richard Kilty, 2015 world 100m bronze medallist Trayvon Bromell from the USA, and former world and Commonwealth champion, Kim Collins from Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Eddie the Eagle Edwards makes a comeback to the ski jumping world before the movie of his life is released this spring – alongside 5 winners of the Alp Leisure Ltd competition to raise money in aid of Ski 4 Cancer, Eddie reaches his target goal of launching off the 90 meter Olympic jump for the first time in over 20 years.

Sport Industry Group has named Warwickshire County Cricket Club's hosting of the third Investec Ashes Test Match at Edgbaston in the shortlist for Best Entertainment Experience at the prestigious BT Sport Industry Awards 2016. Nigeria has won the U23 African Championship and will go to this year’s Olympic Games in Brazil as continental champions after defeating Algeria 2-1 in the final played in Senegal.   After both teams won their semi finals, they automatically qualified for the Rio 2016 football tournament and played the final to determine who was top dog. In the third/fourth place play-offs, South Africa beat hosts Senegal 3-1 on penalties after playing a goalless draw, to clinch the third African slot.

The Laureus World Sports Awards, which celebrate the outstanding achievements of sportsmen and sportswomen around the world, will return to Europe in 2016. The Awards will be hosted in Germany for the first time, held in Berlin on April 18, 2016. The Pro Bowl, contributes $26.2-million in tourist spending to Hawaii’s economy and generates $2.8-million in state tax revenue, and after losing the bid to host the game for one year, the Pro Bowl is coming back to the Aloha State. “This will be the 35th time that Hawaii has hosted the Pro Bowl and it never gets old for the players. The appointment of Tim Andrews marks a new era for BCLFC, which remains in the highest division of women’s football in England, the FA Women’s Super League.
