Construction has officially commenced on the new £38 million Caerphilly Leisure and Wellbeing Hub, with Alliance Leisure and Morgan Sindall assuming responsibility for the site on Friday 6th June 2025.

Councillor Chris Morgan, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “This is a proud moment for Caerphilly. Seeing our vision progress into construction is exciting and symbolic of our ongoing investment into the health and wellbeing of our communities. The Caerphilly Leisure and Wellbeing Hub will offer state-of-the-art facilities designed to serve residents for generations to come.”
This facility also represents another step towards delivering the ambition set out in the Councils adopted Sport & Active Recreation Strategy. The development is supported by the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund, alongside match funding and additional contributions from Caerphilly County Borough Council and other sources.
