Bath is to get the UK's first outdoor Glow in the Dark Mini Golf. The Victoria Falls 18-hole adventure golf course is located in Royal Victoria Park with the world famous Royal Crescent as its backdrop. It is situated alongside the Bath on Ice festive real ice rink.

Proposed plans for the new Erdington Leisure Centre have been shared as part of a public consultation process. The £6.5 million investment will include a six-lane 25m swimming pool, learner pool, workout studio for classes, gym, sauna and steam facilities, changing facilities plus a community room. The new building will be located on Orphanage Road in Erdington and work will start in spring 2016.

A further three medals were added to British Athletics’ tally at the IPC Athletics World Championships, as Jo Butterfield won gold and six-time world champion David Weir and double European champion Maria Lyle both won silver in Doha.

An all-star line-up of footballing legends has been announced to play at the David Beckham Match for Children in aid of UNICEF at Old Trafford. Some of the biggest names in football will come together for the one-off match on Saturday 14 November 2015 to raise awareness and funds for UNICEF‘s work for the world’s most vulnerable children.

A rowing club for 80-year-olds, a sailing project based in a canal in central London and a boxing club that has cut village crime are just a few of the 91 local schemes that are looking forward to making the most of a £6,039,499 million National Lottery funding boost. Projects from every region in the country are eagerly anticipating their share of the Sport England funding, which will go towards building up and maintaining sports clubs and groups that are helping people to stay active.

Dusit International recently hosted its annual Queen's Cup Golf Invitational in support of the Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Centre of the Thai Red Cross Society, the first and largest craniofacial centre in Southeast Asia. UK Athletics has confirmed that Donna Fraser will become the next Vice President of UK Athletics at its AGM on December 4. Four-time Olympian Fraser, who was fourth in the 400m at the Sydney Olympic Games - confirmed she was ‘thrilled and absolutely honoured’ to accept the role within the UK Members Council.

The second annual Lycamobile British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards (BEDSAs) will be launched today by former Olympic and World 400m Champion, Christine Ohuruogu MBE. Unveiled during Black History Month, the BEDSA awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the contribution of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) sports stars.

Eight-year-old Holly Packerfrom Birminghamhas proved that visual impairment is no barrier to achieving your goals after taking part at the UK’s biggest athletics event for blind children. Holly, who has albinism and means she has reduced vision, was one of 100 visually impaired youngsters who took part in this year’s Boots Opticians Actionnaires Athletics Day at the prestigious English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

Three sports projects in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the West Midlands will receive a share of £530,554 of National Lottery funding, it has been announced today.  Using sport to improve lives, the projects will tackle social problems directly affecting young people, families, and women.

Dozens of youngsters are pulling on their trainers for a weekly run around Wednesfield Park. The new Wednesfield Junior Parkrun, which launched recently, is held every Sunday morning, giving children and young people aged from four to 14 the chance to complete a 2km circuit around the park. Those taking part are encouraged to run, jog or walk for their own enjoyment and at their own pace, and parents can also join in if they wish.

Nine members of staff from leading regional building society the West Brom are limbering up to take part in the 2015 Morrisons Great Birmingham Run Business Challenge. The group, all from the building society’s headquarters in West Bromwich, will aim to complete the 13.1 mile half marathon course on Sunday, October 18.

Cycling passions are riding high in Haringey following the borough’s first ever cycling conference. Professionals, lobbyists and enthusiasts came together for the gathering at the Bernie Grants Arts Centre on Thursday, which saw contributions from experts around the world. The 140-strong conference crowd swapped ideas and experiences about what everyone can do to ensure cycling is easy, safe and encouraged in their area.

UK Athletics has confirmed that Jason Gardener will become the next President of UK Athletics taking over from Lynn Davies at its AGM on December 4. Gardener, currently a director on the UK Athletics Board - a position he will relinquish when he becomes President - has confirmed he is honoured to accept the role and paid tribute to the outgoing President Lynn Davies for his service to the sport.

A five-a-side football team from Booth House Lifehouse, Whitechapel, lifted the Partnership Trophy cup after seeing off dozens of competitors from across the UK, defeating Centenary House, Belfast, by five goals to two.
