Dental staff can get up-to-date with their mandatory training with a one day session delivered by industry practitioners on Saturday 14th May. Taking place at Walsall College’s new £11m world class training centre, The Hub, the one day Dental Continuous Professional Development (CPD) course covers a number of core units including infection control, radiation protection and safeguarding, and costs just £15.

Oral surgeon and specialist in Radiology, Rajashree Screenivasan, BDS, MDS, FDSRCS and former President of the British Association of Dental Nurses (BADN), Fiona Ellwood, are among the industry professionals that will be delivering the units on the day.

Janyne Rogers, Employer Responsive Team Leader in Dental at Walsall College, said: “Last year we launched a new dental curriculum, including an apprenticeship programme and certificate courses, to support the sector upskill staff in line with industry changes. We work with a number of dental practices to ensure our provision meets their needs, and this one day course on a Saturday has been designed to fit around staff work commitments, by consolidating their training and keeping disruption to practices to a minimum.”

The cost of the course includes certification, refreshments and lunch.
